The 2014 FIFA World Cup 2014 is just around the corner, and everyone around the world is going soccer mad.

But forget the 32 national teams heading to the World Cup, Kevin Richardson has faced the toughest opponent of the year in a game of soccer, a group of wild lions! No wonder they call him the Lion Whisperer.

This incredible story starts out on the African savanna.

Enough spooning, it’s time to play!

The reason why Kevin Richardson is wearing that fancy suit and playing soccer with those majestic lions is that it’s an ad for Dutch suit maker Van Gils, who are also an official sponsor of the Dutch national football team, KNVB.
You can watch the incredible footage in all its glory here below:

The 40-year-old has dedicated his career to working with lions and the video was shot at his animal sanctuary in his native South Africa.

Every attempt at preservation creates an illicit black market that hastens their decline. Hunters and animal husbandry centers are infinitely better at caring for and understanding natural habitats.
