Duck costume is only way to calm down rescue goat with anxiety

Polly is a rescue goat who is blind, has neurological problems, and suffers from anxiety. Unfortunately it was hard for her owner to get her to calm down on a daily basis. She would often show anxiety related behavior including running around and crying when she couldn’t find her owner.

Little did Leanne Lauricella–Polly’s owner–know that a duck costume she bought at Marshalls would help her out immensely. When Lauricella puts the duck costume on Polly she becomes calm instantly.

“There’s something about that duck costume that calms her” Lauricella says. “She goes into a little trance. She just closes her eyes and she’s out.”
