Koby Soto was having a tougher day than most, and he has the data to prove it.
His S.O. of one month decided to end things rather quickly and Soto didn’t take the news lightly. He knew it was a traumatic experience, but he learned even more when he checked his Fitbit later that day. The data revealed that when the news was dropped on him, his heart rate skyrocketed and became very erratic.
Originally, he posted the above image because he thought a few of his tech friends would find it interesting. He had no idea the Tweet would attract so much attention. “I’m absolutely overwhelmed … it’s attention I’m not used to.”
“It’s funny, because [the Fitbit] thought I was working out, but I wasn’t doing anything.” It’s a curious find, as pre-break-up Soto’s heart rate was only 60 BPM, but after the bad news it jumped as high as 120 BPM.
