Watch out paintball, there’s a new sport in town and it’s called Archery Tag. It’s slowly catching on around the world, and honestly it looks like a ton of fun. Essentially, it’s a mix between paintball, dodgeball, and archery, perfectly blended into a sport that’s guaranteed to ruin a few friendships along the way.
The rules are very similar to paintball in that two teams start at either side of the course and shoot at each other. But, the ultimate goal is to shoot out all five centers on the spot-target located on the competitors’ side. The catch is that all of the arrows start in the middle of the playing field, reminiscent of dodgeball. The beauty of this game is that it can be played both indoors and outside, changing the dynamic completely. The only other rule is: no nut shots.
The darts are marshmallow shaped tips made out of soft, but sturdy foam so that it hurts, but not that bad.
