It’s a stunning monument of Nelson Mandela with an interesting symbolic meaning. The statue was created by a South African artist Marco Cianfanelli to recognize a 50-year anniversary of the imprisonment of Mandela and put at exact spot where Nelson Mandela was arrested. This prominent peace activist was captured by the apartheid policy in 1962 and spent 27 years in prison. The monument is constructed out of 50 separate steel bars to represent 50 years since the capture.

You need several tools, including a chainsaw and a bit of imagination.

This sculpture can be found in front of the office of Sazka, a Czech Republic operator of betting games. As you can see the man is holding Sazka leaflets and the bundle of money is lying next to him. It seems like he is betting on some event and his wife is asking him not to do so.

The Metropol Parasol is the world’s largest wooden sculpture. It has been built by Jurgen Mayer H. Architects and it’s located at Plaza de la Encarnacion in Seville, Spain.
