  1. Congratulations for this great site. In this article you just talk about Spain but in Portugal, on the North to be more precise, still have a lot of “espigueiros” (I think pictures 5 and 12 are in Trás os Montes) or as called in Spain hórreo . It is a struture to dry cereals like corn and rye, and because of the weather here, in this part of Portugal (very cold and rainy in the winter), they are built narrow for the wind to pass throw and mantain the crops dry. In Minho e Tras-os-Montes there still are thousands of this construtions, some in places no one believe it.
