Spaghetti with meatballs is a classic meal, and one of my personal favorites. I remember being a kid and making a huge mess of myself while eating spaghetti. My face and hands would be covered in sauce, and noodles would be all over my clothes. But I was happy as a clam.

Unfortunately, as an adult, getting messy with your spaghetti a somewhat frowned upon. Especially if you’re out at a restaurant, or wearing nice clothing, eating spaghetti requires a certain delicacy and etiquette. But I would bet that most of us have a little nostalgia for the days when eating spaghetti with your hands wasn’t so gauche.

Luckily, ohbiteit.com has provided a recipe that let’s you eat spaghetti the old-fashioned way while keepin’ it classy.

You need fully cooked, defrosted meatballs, 1/2 lb of thin spaghetti, 1 cup of marinara sauce, 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese, 1 egg, and 1 tbsp. of Italian seasoning.

The first step is to cook the spaghetti – bring a pot of water to a boil and add your spaghetti and let it cook for about 8 to 10 minutes and then drain.

Put the egg, seasoning, and marinara sauce in a bowl and mix.

Add your sauce mix to the cooked spaghetti and mix it all together.

Put little nests of spaghetti into the cup-cake molds -and allow for a space where you will place your meatballs. Add a little of sauce on top as well.

Cook your spaghetti and meatball poppers at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until their a little crispy like the ones below.
