This vintage wine is one of the 2 wines that got Class A status in the Saint-Emilion classification of wine. The tree liter bottle was sold at a record-worthy price at Vinfolio in San Francisco in 2006. It is said that only 110,000 bottles were produced and among those, a few have survived to be served till the day.

The year of harvesting is marked by heated up weather with a soaring temperature of 35 Celsius when the crops have high sugar levels naturally. The blend is of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, both 50-50 percent. The fun fact is, sommeliers, considered Cheval Blanc as the finest wine in the twentieth century.
