In an interesting juxtaposition, sculptor Eva Jospin creates enchanting forests from cardboard. The Paris-based artist cuts and gules cardboard to craft dense, multi-layered and highly detailed forests with stunning depth of field. Gazing into the trees can nearly make a viewer fear getting lost in the woods.

The cardboard’s corrugated edges form a convincing texture for the bark of the trees, and the paper’s natural color works well with the forest theme. Jospin’s project is valuable not only as an intriguing piece of art, but also because it reminds us of the true origin of the paper products we so often take for granted.

Just a regular cardboard box, right?

We have the technology to work from almost anywhere, but why do so many of us still stay seated in the same place every day? If the folks behind Refold’s foldable mobile desk fully fund their project on Kickstarter, maybe we won’t have to. They offer an object that looks like a run-of-the-mill cardboard box, but is really a portable desk (for both standing and sitting). It’s lightweight and even looks great. Take a look!

Wrong. This thing can fold into a desk that fits your desired comfort level.

It works for both standing and sitting.

A portable office…

…that you can also stand on.

Oh, and make look cool.

For Thanksgiving.

People in New York always complain about how small their apartments are and how much they cost. Those people should take some notes from these cats.

They seem to have mastered living in tight quarters and for a tiny cost. If only we could all live in cardboard, boxes, cats (and preferably without roommates)…

I bet he ate all the Snack’ems.

The greatest gutter cleaning you’ll ever have.

Do cats lay eggs? Because this would be purrrrfect.

These living quarters are a little tight.

Chalking up before a lift.

Don’t mind me, I’ll just be in here.

This is cozy.

Someone dared this cat to do this.

There’s no place like home.

Wait a second, that’s not flour.

Just chilling in your shoe.

I’m going to take a nap in your basket.

These basket naps are pretty common.

Special delivery.

Cat for breakfast!

LET ME OUT OF HERE!

Handle with care.

You caught me.

If we were as nimble as these cats, we could save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars every month on rent. Hopefully we can all be cat-like one day.
