Litter boxes are naturally unfortunate. Let’s face it, who wants to have a cat’s waste just sitting around out in the open?

But putting a litter box in a tight space can be a real drag, too. A small room with the litter box is basically useless, plus the smell will permeate that small space. However, one clever DIY master decided to build their feline friend a litter box condo that both contained the smell, provided privacy, and looked adorable.

They were lucky enough to find this cabinet at a thrift store.

But if you want to copy this project, you can use any kind of cabinet (new or old). The cheaper, the better, though!

It was going to be the home for their kitty’s litter box, so naturally, some things had to change.

They removed part of the cabinet they wouldn’t need.

They also gave the old thing a new paint job.

And made the cuts necessary with a saw to create a cat-sized door.

Then they bought some new handles…

And set it out to dry.

Then they put the litter box, food, and shovel inside.

It looked great, even though a litter box was hidden inside.

Somehow, they made a litter box adorable.

Over the past three years, a man known as “Illinois Slim” created quite possibly the coolest way ever to smoke meat.
Slim’s son shared the impressive engineering on Reddit and explained that every part was created from scratch by his dad. Slim admits in the video that the first two years of assembly were slow going. However, just like the chicken he can now cook to perfection, it was well worth the wait.

It comes with all the essential bells…

..and whistles!

The whistles also acts as valves to release steam pressure.

Inside, a broiler sits atop the fire box, which heats the entire train.

And here’s where the meat cooking magic happens.

Look how disgusting this garage started as.

Attention all of you home improvement gunners. This is the ultimate example of what is possible. Seriously, check out this garage that was totally changed, and now houses a little something special. It’s something that’s totally disgusting, even a drain on a perfectly good house. But is a diamond in the rough… with only a little elbow grease. Right?

I’d never want to go in here, let alone PUT things in there.

But I guess that’s why it’s a great project!

But let’s be honest…it’s going to take a lot of work.

Once everything was cleared away, it was time to make it look a lot better.

And is a great chance to get creative.

Since it’s your garage, you can put up whatever you want.

And paint it however you want.

Then put in new lights…

And slick floors.

Looking much better. But we’re missing a final touch.

Ah…there it is.

I’ll never be as creative as this guy was, but it certainly makes me want to go out to Home Depot. I keep promising that I’ll fix that toilet. That’s the same as what this guy did, right?
