Sexy Vintage Album Covers

Megi7 — Fri, 18 Aug 2017 12:28:05 +0000

Some of these even date back to the late 1940’s and while they might seem tame by comparison to today’s standards, don’t shortchange these sexy album covers. They got the job done.

But yeah, still gross.

Yeah, we don’t really want to think about it, but we need to face facts; music has always been sexy, the industry used sex to promote albums and your parents and grandparents got down and dirty to it. Sure, we think that it doesn’t get any more graphic than the stuff we see today, but once upon time, passions were inflamed and desires were consummated, based on these bad boys here. So these albums, were the soundtrack to your grandparents making your mom and dad, and even what your mom and dad listened to, to make your sweet self. Gross.

There are 16 circles in this picture, but some people can’t even see one. Many people look at this picture and see only rectangles. See if you can find them all.

Ex-gang Members React to Seeing Themselves Without Tattoos

Megi7 — Mon, 14 Aug 2017 12:52:37 +0000

These ex-gang members left their lives of violence and crime behind them, but parts of their past are unshakeable. Most prominently, the gang and prison tattoos covering much of their bodies, including their faces.

Photographer Steven Burton took photos of the fully-inked men as they are. He then used photoshop to depict how they would look if they never fell into a life of crime.

When Burton showed the men the doctored, un-tatted images, they had an extremely emotional response, many of them breaking down into tears. For them, it was about more than physical appearance. The photos revealed the normal life they never led — a path they regret not taking.

Watch Burton’s project, which he calls Skin Deep: Looking Beyond The Tattoos, in the video below.

The World is Full Of Good

Megi7 — Thu, 20 Jul 2017 11:16:15 +0000

People always try to convince you that the world is “going to Hell in a handbag.” And don’t get me wrong, our species has a list of flaws so long that if compiled they would reach Pluto by now. But if you’re going to point out all the bad, it’s important to take a moment to shed some light on all the wonderful displays of decency, goodwill, and humanity all around us.

Don’t lose the faith my friends — the world is full of good.

Grandmother’s Wrong Number Text Ends In An Amazing New Friendship

Megi7 — Tue, 23 May 2017 12:52:33 +0000

When people normally receive a text from a wrong number they’ll ignore it. But when Jen Deaderick got a text from an unknown number she did something a little different.

Deaderick received a series of birthday wishes from a woman named Opal, intended for her granddaughter, Samiya. Instead of just blowing off the kind woman, Deaderick replied with some details about her own life. Jen shared that her grandmother had passed away and how she missed the birthday wishes she once received. Opal was delighted to send some birthday love for Jen’s birthday.

Deaderick shared a photo of her family so Opal would know who she’s texting for.

Opal then shared a photo of her family.

Deaderick tweeted about her random and heartwarming text exchange with Opal.
