Baby wild animals like Dinozzo, a fox cub whose mother was killed in a road-side collision, often don’t stand much of a chance when their parents are taken away from them. Luckily for this three-week-old fox cub, he was handed over to a vet and then adopted by an animal-loving couple in Germany with a beautiful collie dog named Ziva, whose motherly instincts helped nurse him back to health.

This 3-week-old fox cub was rescued from a car accident where he lost his mom

Ziva belongs to Werner and Angelika Schmaing, a couple living in Oberscheld, Germany that also owns a Bengal cat named Leopold and two adopted piglets. Leopold has also formed an unlikely friendship with the now-recovered fox cub. The caring dog and cat duo have made Dinozzo feel welcome, and he now uses the cat-door regularly to get in and out of the house. Despite being given free run of the surrounding area, it seems like he prefers staying with his best friends for now!

Luckily for Dinozzo, Ziva the collie and her family took him in

Though he’s free to roam, Dinozzo still feels like he’s just ‘one of the dogs’

“The fox has gotten used to getting in and out of the house through the cats door,” said his owner, Werner

He also made friends with their Bengal cat, Leopold

“Ziva and Leopold fell in love with the little fox immediately”

“Our collie acts as a foster mum for the little ones”

“The interaction of animals is very much like siblings in a family”

“They are mostly peaceful, often playful and sometimes tired – sleeping together in one place”

After being rescued as a young fox cub, Todd the 11-month-old fox is getting along just fine as a domestic pet together with his owner, Emma D’Sylva. Todd goes for walks on a leash, plays with D’Sylva’s two other dogs, and wags his tail when it’s time to eat. He was rescued by D’Sylva when he was 4 months old from other owners who could no longer care for him.

“He will run up to me wagging his tail when I go to feed him and roll over to have his belly tickled”

“He tries to do what the dogs do but I can’t let him off the lead because he’s deaf so I can’t shout him to come back”

“He gets on with my two dogs, and wants to play with them all the time”

“He’s really getting used to things now and I’m looking forward to letting more and more people meet him”

“Todd went out on his first school visit the other week and the children really enjoyed stroking him while he was in my arms”

If you’re in the Miyagi Prefecture of Japan and want to frolic with free-roaming foxes, you might want to take a trip to Zao Fox Village. This sanctuary will make you feel like you’re in a fairy tale kingdom of foxes, which happens to include a variety of silver, platinum, and red foxes.

The 6 different breeds of foxes present at this sanctuary are free-roaming and move about as they please.

Like in western culture, foxes are seen as clever little creatures in Japan.

In Japan, foxes are associated with Inari Okami—the religious deity of fertility, rice, and prosperity that takes the form of a fox.

They are also represented as cunning shape-shifters in Japanese folklore.

The fox village has continued to have visitors, since it first opened in 1990.

He Found Two Holes Coming Into His Backyard. Then He Turned Around And… LOL!

First the owners discovered two holes dug under their fence…

A Reddit user recently woke up to find evidence of some strange visitors in their backyard: a couple of fantastic foxes that dug their way in overnight.

And the nocturnal trespassers took advantage of the slumbering homeowners to have some fun on the trampoline before the sunrise.

And then they noticed the trampoline looked a little dusty…

The culprit: lots of little fox footprints!

Proof that everyone enjoys a good bounce on a trampoline.

So it looks like the answer to what the fox says is “wheeee!” as it jumps up and down on a trampoline. Glad we can finally solve that.

He set a trap with his camera, a log and an egg.. Attached to the trigger was a cable connected to his cameras shutter, which activated the second the sneaky fox poked his head in the log and took the egg. The surprised face of the fox is perfectly seen on this picture.
