Jose Antonio lived on the streets of Palma, Spain, for 25 years

He was well-known by locals and helped many park their cars in the town’s main square for a small wage

Salva Garcia, owner of La Salvajeria hair salon, invited Jose to come in and get cleaned up for free

This was no easy task, as Jose’s long and scruffy hair – including his beard – had to be chopped and tamed

Jose’s hair was also dyed dark brown, since a more youthful appearance could help him find a better job

Locals also provided Jose with a crisp new white shirt, and a pair of cropped red pants

He asked the salon’s mirror to be covered until his makeover was finished

When they finally opened it, Jose was overcome by emotion and began to sob

He was barely recognisable from before. “My God… Is this me?” He loudly exclaimed

Brimming with joy, Jose hit the town, and flaunted all of his newfound ‘hipster’ glory

“It wasn’t just a change of look. It changed my life,” he told Spanish reporters about his transformation

Locals had to do a double-take just to realise who he was, but showered him with compliments nonetheless

The graphic designer decided to fix this by putting his skills to good use.

Brucker and his boss tossed around ideas and landed on a “superheroes” theme, made out of Post-It notes.

Using Photoshop, he created pixelated versions of some of their favorites.

He then did a digital mockup of what they might look like and loved it.

So, all that was left was sticking all 8,024 Post-Its on the wall.

It became an office project.

Pretty much all hands were onboard.

Including nearby kids.

After a couple of weeks of designing, planning, and ordering the materials, Brucker’s nerdy dream became a reality.

The bland walls were given new life.

And it was all done on a $300 budget!

You could say these temporary superheroes saved the office (from boredom).

They’ve certainly given the place something better to look at.

“And people from all over the building have been coming to check it out.”

I mean, it’s a pretty impressive feat with nothing but “super sticky” Post-Its.

Brucker and his team spent a an entire day over the weekend (10AM – 5:30PM), sticking the square notes on the wall and even though it’s a temporary fixture, because they’re moving offices in a few months, it was all worth it.

31 year old Joanne Cooper started suffering from the effects of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as a teenager. This caused her weight to skyrocket and doctors told her she would never be able to have kids. She used that as motivation to transform herself. She got gastric bypass surgery and lost 189 lbs (85 kg). You won’t believe the woman in the last picture is the same person from the first picture.

This is what Thomas looked like when he was first brought in.

When Little Thomas was found by the Vancouver Island Dogs Rescue Society, he had a severe case of mange. It was so bad that his skin was just sloughing off and his body’s immune system was extremely weak. The society stepped in immediately to save him.

By using the combination of medicated baths, medicine and a little TLC, Little Thomas experienced a drastic change. It just took him one month to completely transform into the dog you’ll eventually see below. It’s amazing.

Absolutely painful.

The mange made all of his skin look painful.

The rescue used Kimberly Matalas “Feel Better” bath products to help battle the mange.

All the while, they bolstered Little Thomas’s immune system.

“We use Kimberly Matalas “Feel Better” bath products to help topically, they are treated for what else it is that are ailing them, put them on a high quality food and then you are cautious with what exposure the dog receives depending on the severity of his health. It’s about boosting the immune system while fighting the immediate sores and problem areas.”

Whatever they did worked!

To help protect his skin, Thomas would wear this onesie around.

Demodectic mange, what Little Thomas had, isn’t contagious and this treatment worked for him.

Sarcoptic is HIGHLY contagious.

After being treated and cleared by the vet, Thomas is healing with the help of his foster family.

(The treatment includes lots of love.)

It’s difficult not to be blown away by this one month of progress.

Thank you to the original poster of this touching story and the rescue she works with. Every day they are helping to heal animals in need and educate others on how to do the very same thing. It’s inspiring. To learn more about the speciality Matalas products used to treat his mange, click here.
