“For months, every time we mentioned her party, Audrey requested ‘poop’ balloons and a poop cake,’” the girl’s mom Rebecca told Huffington Post. “I tried suggesting other themes, but she always insisted on poop.”

The family held the party at their home in St. Louis and invited guests to “pin the poop”, enjoy a poop emoji-designed pinata with Tootsie Rolls and Hershey’s Kisses inside, and receive whoopee cushion favors. If that wasn’t enough, Rebecca even dressed in a poop costume.

This is Glenn Buratti, a 6-year-old from Osceola County, Florida. He has mild autism and epilepsy. Earlier this month, his mom Ashlee threw him a birthday party, inviting 16 children from his class. No one showed up.

After posting on the group, 15 children from the area and their parents turned up, but not just them.

Firefighters and police officers from the community started pulling up to the house.

With presents!

Crews from the Sheriff’s Office and Osceola County Fire Rescue gave Glenn the superstar treatment.

“I’m sure the neighbors were peeking out of their windows or taking cover,” Glenn’s dad John wrote on Facebook.

“Such an amazing thing for our local law enforcement and fire fighters to do for us,” he wrote.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s office even flew a helicopter low enough over Glenn’s party that the pilot was able to wave at him.

A man in France with Down’s syndrome received over 30,000 birthday cards when he celebrated his big day recently thanks to a post from his family on Facebook that went viral. Lucien Parisseaux posted on the social networking site asking for his friends to send a postcard to his son Manuel because he loved receiving them, and it would make his day.

“Hello everyone. I have a request to make to all my Facebook friends. My son Manuel will be 30 on 11/22/14 and he loves to receive postcards. My son has Down’s syndrome. I come to you to ask you to take a few minutes of your time to send a small card and to pass this information to all your friends so the chain doesn’t get broken. I thank you all for your gesture, which will make my Manu so happy”.

The post quickly went viral, getting over 120,000 shares, and as a result the postcards and envelopes started coming in from all over the world. Facebook temporarily shut down the account believing it to be a scam, but Manuel’s mother Jacqueline posted it on her page too, which kept the momentum going. Eventually, over 30,000 pieces of mail arrived from everywhere and anywhere, and a lorry was needed to deliver them all to the family home.

…to make it a little bit more difficult to open.

Imgur user xanphysic decided to do something really fun with a birthday gift he bought for a girl he likes. He decided to make an Inception style gift, with one box inside another box which itself is inside another box and so on. Giftception I’ll call it.
Here’s how he packed a pendant he bought for her… check it out.

Step one, pick the gift. In this case it was this pendant.

Place the gift in a box.

The pendant and card fit quite snugly into this wooden box.

Box all closed up…

…and wrapped up.

Step two is to place the wrapped gift in another container, like this aluminium box.

It needed something to stop the gift moving about to much in the container, so this kitty went in there with it.

There is no box without a kitty.

Now get a chain and a “Houdini” padlock…

It would be far too easy to just attach the key to the gift.

So put the key into a maze box such as this.

Now pack the padlocked container and the maze box (with the key inside) together in a final box and wrap it up like a normal present.

What a fun and different way to wrap up a gift for your friends. Share this Giftception with your friends below.

This is the balcony; there were quite a few benches in sight where the clue could be hiding.

For one lucky kid, birthdays aren’t just about opening presents and getting embarrassed in restaurants by singing waiters. Instead, his mom and dad make it about challenging and exciting treasure hunts and spending some amazing time together as a family.
This is the treasure hunt that his family created for him this year. Clues were hidden all over the house and even the town, all leading to a final epic treasure. (If you can’t tell already, this kid is deeply loved.)

This was the first clue that Brody received.

It read, “”If you are so inclined, you will be able to read this clue.”

To read it, he had to tilt the paper.

When tilted all the way down….

He could finally read it! It read, “under a bench you can see from Grandmas balcony.”

Hmm, not that one.

It wasn’t that one, either. It was getting dark, so he had to come back the next day.

At home, he did research on Google Maps. What other benches were there?

Once he went back and thoroughly looked for clues… and found it!

Opening it up…

This was the clue that was inside.

He knew exactly where to go.

qnd McIntyre.”

He quickly realized it was Braille and began comparing it to the only Braille he knew (on Canadian money).

After being stumped, he went home to look up some translation.

The back of the sign read “the deck of cards I gave you.”

This was written on one of the cards.

Trying to figure out the riddle.

Hmmmmm…

Still working at it….

This is what the cards look like shuffled.

This is what the deck looks like in order.

(There was a line drawn on the cards to indicate which way they should be facing.

The last clue!

Opening it up…

The final clue contained two latin words.

Once he realized that they were the scientific name for a tulip tree, he knew where to go.

His grandparents bought trees for him and his sister in the park.

And inside that last capsule…

A check for birthday money!

It took a few days and quite a lot of brain power, but Brody finally finished the birthday treasure hunt. If the $80 check at the end wasn’t enough, he also got to go on an adventure for days with his family. This is the kind of treasure hunt that a kid would remember for years to come and the birthday present he will always remember.
