Awesome Dad swaps out kid’s Nintendo Switch when he isn’t looking

Megi7 — Fri, 26 May 2017 10:20:08 +0000

As a kid I wanted the Millennium Falcon really bad, so bad that when I need what seemed like an impossible amount of money to buy it I opted to tape my own toy together out of poster paper and color it in myself. Twitter user Mohikan is a kid after my own heart, making the toys he can’t have out of paper. Unlike my parents though his had a pretty good surprise in store.

Some of this story is translate with BING from Japanese so it may be slightly off.

Mohikan’s son “Roca” is into toys and videogames especially as most children are. He has a creative hobby of making the toys his parents cannot afford him.

For Roka though it was an especially good day though. He was playing with his “Nintendo Switch” when he left to take a bath.

And while he was away his dad slipped a real switch into the cardboard one.

He tweeted, “I wonder if he will notice.”

We think he noticed.

When I said to my five years old niece that I’m going to build a cabin in the backyard, she answered me that she didn’t want a cabin but a “Princess palace”.

Ok, I’ve done my best…
This is the final result

Dad’s clever notes will make you think twice about parenthood

Megi7 — Wed, 19 Apr 2017 13:03:13 +0000

As much as I want to believe it, parenthood isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be. I just adopted a rescue pup and he can be quite the handful, toys all over the place, messy eater, the usual. Clearly, I’m not ready to have children as I compare babies and puppies, but they’re in the same ballpark right? If you’re expecting sometime soon take it from this stay-at-home Dad who takes notes of all the ups and downs of daily Dad life.

Adorably Horrible Little Kids

Megi7 — Thu, 02 Mar 2017 16:00:41 +0000

Little kids can be bad, but their badness is matched by their complete lack of understanding. So it’s kind of cute. Kind of.

The most ridiculous things parents have had to enforce on their children

Megi7 — Thu, 23 Feb 2017 14:36:26 +0000

The phrase, “Do I have to explain everything to you?” had to be invented specifically with young kids in mind. With that being said, the folks over at Whisper compiled some of the most bizarre rules parents had to implement with their own kids over the years.

Kids Who Cut Their Own Hair

Megi7 — Fri, 20 Jan 2017 00:27:45 +0000

Children barely have the hand-eye coordination to brush their teeth, it’s just a bad idea to let them cut their hair. A bad, bad, very funny idea.

Kid’s Christmas lists sure do get specific

Megi7 — Thu, 15 Dec 2016 22:27:21 +0000

Some of these are strangely specific while others are just scary. I won’t lie, I am actually impressed with a few of these. Let’s be honest, you can never have too many tacos.

Things sure have changed since I was a kid.

Dad levels up to add some excitement to the fence outside

Megi7 — Tue, 13 Dec 2016 23:10:37 +0000

Imgur user, CrescendoCRESCENDO, recently had a son and the nursery/bedroom was set up perfectly, except the view out of the window.

“The blueprint.Paint, masking tape (lots of it), an exacto knife and a quick trip to the local library to print some sprites. The blueprint wasn’t exactly the scale. I eyeballed most of it.”

“Keep it simple. First up was the sky. I was originally going to try and match exact colors to the original game, but the hardware store only mixed 1ltr paint cans. I’ve got a kid to feed now. By the way this took me almost 3 months all up. With a newborn i’d have to sneak in 30 minute sessions every now and then in between diaper changes, naps & breaks from obsessively staring at the human we made.”

“I left Mario for last. This was tricky.”

“Painting is done! Time to nail this thing up.”

Level Up!
