One of Santa’s mall doppelgängers has slimmed down and styled up. Meet Paul Mason: a former model who works as the mall Santa at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto, Canada. The holiday twist is all for charity…a dollar is donated to the SickKids Foundation every time a shopper snaps a selfie with Fashion Santa and posts it on social media with the hashtag #YorkdaleFashionSanta.

We’ve all witnessed those screaming kids who don’t want to tell Santa what they want for Christmas. However, for a child with autism, they’re not just a little nervous-they’re terrified. The crowds, the lights and the noise can be very difficult for them to take on.
When the parents of 6-year-old Brayden found out he had autism, they figured getting a traditional Christmas photo of him and Santa would be next to impossible. They were wrong.

This year, they got their perfect Christmas shot in a much better way than they could have ever imagined for the second year in a row. Caring Santa, organized by the group Autism Speaks, came to Charlotte, North Carolina to give Brayden and other children with autism the chance to spend some quality time with good ol’ St. Nicholas. It wasn’t a normal sit-on-the-lap kind of thing, though. The stores were already closed when Brayden stepped through the door, and the warm-up time was as long as he wanted.
Brayden’s mom Erin Deely said, “They let you take all the time you need to warm up to Santa, so Brayden started out far away. He knew who Santa was, but he was shy.”

After a few minutes passed, Santa brought out a snow globe, put it next to Brayden and then sat back in his chair. When Brayden crawled over to play with it, Santa laid down on his belly and joined him.
Deely said,”They didn’t even talk to each other, really, they just bonded and played, and Brayden started to really be excited and started looking at him and smiling.”

Autism Speaks executive Lisa Goring explained that the organization creates a controlled environment so that hanging out with Santa can be a stress-free experience for everyone involved.
“We know for some kids with autism, the idea of going into a mall and an environment they’re not used to has a lot of sensory challenges,” she said.

Caring Santa has 120 locations, and many of the serving Santas already act the role for the malls, but they receive additional training through the program and learn how to connect with autistic children. Goring said, “It’s a great way for families to experience a holiday tradition,” and Deely agreed.
After about 20 minutes with Santa, Brayden even dished out a high-five for the jolly guy. Deely said, “At the end, he didn’t want to leave. He kept saying, ‘More Santa.’”

But one baby was less than enthused when Dad put him on Santa’s lap. In fact, he was so far beyond over it that he didn’t even bother to wake up.

If you browse through the photos on his dad’s Facebook page, it’s pretty easy to see that this little one loves to sleep.

Like…a lot.

That’s why it came as no surprise when little Zeke zonked out in that horrible Santa line (which we all know was way too long). But before Dad had a chance to wake the baby, Santa came over and stopped him.

St. Nick had a better idea. He told Dad to put Zeke on his lap so that the two could strike a sleepy pose.

All you do is put that Santa hat on the corner of the TV (or laptop).

If you’re still not in the holiday spirit, this might just be the thing that can get you there. I know it did for me. Redditor zeezromnomnom and their wife have created what should undoubtedly be the next big Christmas tradition. Not only does it make for some serious Christmas cheer, it’s super easy to do as well.

All you need is a Santa hat and a TV screen, though I’m sure it would be just as fun on a laptop screen or that of any other media-playing device.

You instantly make any show a Christmas special.

For some reason, The West Wing seemed to work really well with this concept.

But you can use the ole Santa hat trick on other shows, too.

Try it out and see what you think.

This is too good of a new tradition not to catch on.

This is so fun. Who needs to go out and chop down a tree when you can stay nice and warm while watching your Christmas TV?

These days, Santa Claus is the world’s beloved holly, jolly, holiday gift bringer, but it wasn’t always that way. In fact, Santa Claus used to be a whole lot creepier, and we’ve got the photos to prove it.

These incredibly creepy Santas don’t care if you’re naughty or nice.

This Santa knows that Christmas is an excellent day for an exorcism.

…So you better watch out. Seriously. Do as the song says. It’s for your own safety.

RIP Andy Rooney, you were one scary Santa Claus.

…He knows when you’re awake…

This photo was taken at the exact moment this child realized his life was in danger.

After this photo was taken, Santa dropped dead of sadness.

The corpse of Santa looks good!

Nope, none of this is sketchy at all.

This might be the most uncomfortable Santa photo I have ever seen.

A DIY costume gone terribly, terribly wrong.

…he knows if you’ve been bad or good…

He sees you when you’re sleeping…

Clearly, Santa’s been a naughty, naughty boy!

Those boots! The Mickey and Minnie gimp masks! Santa is into some kinky shit.

And this photo was taken the exact moment this little girl realized Santa isn’t real.

I really hope Santa didn’t give him that balloon.
