@Steve, I’m glad you told them that the US is not the world. I was born and live in the USA and it seems that the physical geographical distance has made a cultural distance between the USA and the rest of the world. I get so sick of people saying the world when they mean the US. It seem ignorant.
This is a common mistake: Eyjafjallajökull is the name of the glacier at wich volcano Eldgos is associated. Nearby there is the Katla (vulcano) where Myrdalsjökull (glacier) lies. In Iceland Volcano names are more simpler than the glaciers and waterfalls ones… Just don´t trust journalists: they like to complicate the simpler and simplify the complex.
