Here is the second part of photos from the ‘Burning House’ project that show the things that people took with when leaving the burning houses.

This image of a dangling and swinging construction worker reaching his muscled arm out to grab a drowning woman won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for photography. This guy is a real hero.

A maltese-shitzu was swept off the Brighton Pier in Victoria, Australia as her owner walked her. Lucky for both of them a perfect stranger happened along and was brave enough to lose his pants and jump into the freezing water to grab the dog.
