14-year-old saves an inspiring statue that was destroyed in a storm

Last year Thomas Dambo built a statue out of recycled wood named Simon Selfmade in Denmark. The statue depicts Simon literally building his own left leg.

Unfortunately, a strong storm tore Simon apart.

Lucky for Simon, a local 14-year-old named Anine came to his rescue. In just two days she was able to raise enough money to help Simon rebuild himself.

Simon has now finished his left leg and is building a new friend named Anine, after his savior.
