16 Weirdest Celebrity Stuff That Goes For Thousands From The Auction

Lady Gaga’s Teacup and Saucer

$75,137.50

A china teacup and saucer, that was used by Lady Gaga and had lipstick marks on it, was sold in May 2012 at a charity auction, to help artists in Japan after the deadly earthquake and tsunami.

She had used the two a few months prior and someone had the idea to auction it off for charity. While the idea sounds great, who’d want a used cup and saucer? Apparently, an anonymous bidder.

John Lennon’s molar

$31,200

This is proof that die-hard fans will buy anything. In the 60’s, Lennon lost one of his molars, and gave it to his housekeeper, Dorothy “Dot” Jarlett, and suggested she give it to her daughter, who was a huge Beatles fan.

Sometime between then and 2011, it was put up for auction, and purchased by a Canadian dentist named Michael Zuk. He must really be into teeth.

Scarlett Johansson’s used Kleenex

$5,300

A tissue that ScarJo blew her nose into on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in 2008 was put up for silent auction. It got over 80 bids on eBay and the funds thankfully went to a charity.

Apparently, the cold that she was suffering from, was actually from Jay Leno, so it was believed that the tissue had more value because it was a celebrity cold that was passed around.

Elvis Presley’s unwashed underwear

$8,000

These were put up for auction in 2012, to commemorate 35 years since his death. They’re light blue, unwashed and slightly stained, and were reportedly from a 1977 concert. They were predicted to go for at least $11,000 but bidding didn’t even reach that high.

In fact, they didn’t even sell. Wonder why.

Justin Timerlake’s French Toast

$1,025

Back in 2000, someone snatched up a piece of French Toast that JT was eating, and sold it on eBay.

The auction was won by a teen N’Sync fan, who said she was gonna freeze-dry it, seal it, and keep it on display on her dresser. Dafuq?

J.D. Salinger’s used toilet

$1 million

Technically, this one never sold, but they tried really hard. This was listed on eBay in 2010, and was taken from the late writers New Hampshire home. It even had a letter of authenticity, claiming that he used to sit on the porcelain throne to dream up his stories.

Britney Spears’ gum

$14,000

Britney has a habit of chewing gum and just spitting it out, whether on stage or her personal life. So enterprising fans have done all sorts of things to get their hands on that gum.

One enterprising fan tried to sell his find on eBay in 2004, and I’m not sure if it was sold before the listing was taken down.

That’s pretty gross.

My Technology WorldBritney Spears’ used pregnancy test

$5,001

If you thought the gum was too far, wait until you hear this. A used and positive pregnancy test was found in the garbage of a hotel room she and then-husband Kevin Federline spent the night in. It was sold to a Canadian radio station, who then auctioned it off for charity, with the winner being GoldenPalace.com.

Thankfully, the proceeds went to a good place, but Jesus Christ, a pregnancy test?

Michael Jackson’s underwear

$1 million

I think this one is taking it too far; during one of his molestation trials, one of the pieces of evidence was a soiled piece of underwear. After the trial was over, someone decided to ‘borrow’ the underwear and auction off the item.

It sold for a million bucks, and now someone has a dirty pair of the King of Pop’s Fruit of the Looms. Seriously.

Willie Nelson’s braids

$37,000

These braids were cut off back in 1983 and given to his friend Waylon Jennings.

In 2014, the contents of Waylon’s estate were put up for auction and an anonymous bidder snatched these up.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s breath

$513

Thankfully, someone didn’t drop an obscene amount of money here, but still, why spend it at all? Back in 2010, a random person put this on sale on eBay, and it sold.

IT SOLD.

Ronald Reagan’s blood

$3,550

After the 1981 assassination attempt on U.S. President Ronald Reagan, he had blood taken at the hospital. That vial went missing, and turned up online and went to auction in 2012. It wasn’t full of his blood, thankfully, just the residue, but still.

It went up for auction again shortly after, and bidding reached $30K, before it was shut down and the owners donated it to the Ronald Raegan Presidential Foundation instead.

Marilyn Monroe’s X-rays

$45,000

In 1954, Monroe was admitted to Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in FL for endometriosis surgery. While there, she had chest X-rays taken.

50 years later, the owner of 3 X-rays auctioned off the set for $45K.

John Wayne’s Toupee

$6,250

This is one of the many toupees that John Wayne owned, and was auctioned off by MGM for almost $7K.

So it’s not just real hair that goes for big money. Interesting.

William Shatner’d kidney stone

$25,000

After Shatner collapsed on the set of “Boston Legal” in 2005, it was revealed that it was due to a kidney stone. He ended up auctioning it off to GoldenPalace.com for $25K, with the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.

What the f@#k do they do with it?

Justin Bieber’s hair

$40,668

Again with the hair. This time, it’s a mere clump of his swoop-y locks, and it was sold on eBay for an insane amount.

No word on how it was gotten or how legit it truly is. But c’mon… $40K for hair? That’s insane.
