Arcata California is home to the Arcata Community Forest. The center piece of the Arcata Parks and Recreation system. Recently a cabin was discovered within the forest, where it is obviously illegal to build a residence.
It was extremely well camouflaged and went undiscovered for an unknown amount of time.
The discoverer said that it could not be seen until it was a dozen feet away.
The interior was clean and well maintained. Organized too.
There were books and audio books lined on one shelf.
Canned food, all organic.
A well organized spice rack.
A to do list was found inside, if it is to be trusted then it would suggest that the hovel was built some time in 2010.
A small desk was set up in the center with a typewriter.
After the discovery an eviction noticed was placed on the property.
A month later, they came to check on the eviction and aside from some furniture left behind there was no longer a cabin.
No tracks or means of exfiltration. The area was almost entirely undisturbed.
They returned again a day later to clean the area and nothing was left. None of the furniture or litter.
Only a symbol left in the dirt.
