10 Years in the Making: The Natural Cathedral in Italy That Will Take Your Breath Away

Giuliano Mauri began building his cathedral from living trees in Italy in 2001, pouring years of vision and patience into a structure that was unlike anything the art world had ever seen. He passed away in 2009 before it was completed, but his project was finished in 2010 exactly as he had intended — and the result is one of the most awe-inspiring things on Earth.

This Tree Cathedral is known as “Cattedrale Vegetale”. It is located at the foot of Mount Arera in the North of Italy.
