Turns out “spider frost” is every bit as terrifying as it sounds

Walking through a spiderweb won’t seem nearly as bad after you see the type of terror residents are experiencing in Victoria, Australia. In what’s probably plague commissioned by Satan himself, people living in this town are having to deal with ‘spider frost’. And yeah, it’s how I imagine Hell on earth looking.

Many species of young spiders use a technique known as ballooning to hitch a ride on the wind to find a place to live.

Some spiders have been caught by researchers ballooning as high as 1.5 miles up. They can travel for miles like this, which is a real phe-nope-enon.
